Chemotherapy nausea saviour
Chemotherapy for breast cancer HER2+ve. Herceptin, Pertuzamab, Carboplatin, and Post chemo nausea... Chemotherapy for breast cancer HER2+ve. Herceptin, Pertuzamab, Carboplatin, and Post chemo nausea unbearable, dehydrating and hospitalised. Only fix seemed to be receiving IV anti-nausea meds. Next round of chemo had 5 different nausea meds on hand including additional Dexamethasone to try to combat the severe nausea. Still not a worthwhile solution. Didn't end up in hospital again but not far off it. Althea supplied by trained cannibidiol GP (oncology can't do this in Australia yet??). OMG - made a big difference. Nausea acceptable level. Only supplementing with occasional Maxolan. Feel much more confident going into 4th round of chemo knowing the nausea won't have me crawling on the ground, asking if the chemo is worth it.
