Since our inception in 2017, Grandiosa has been dedicated to improving the quality of life for individuals suffering from a variety of illnesses. Medical cannabis has been demonstrated to offer many therapeutic benefits for certain medical conditions and their associated side effects. My personal motivation for starting the business came from watching my mother struggle with insomnia and anxiety, and her negative experiences with prescription medications. My mother experienced poor-quality sleep and described feeling a terrible hangover the next morning after taking sleeping pills prescribed by her doctor. As someone who had always been energetic and enthusiastic, it was concerning to hear her describe feeling fatigued. I suggested that she speak to her doctor about the possibility of using cannabis oil, which had been legalised in both Chile and Australia, but her doctor was not knowledgeable about it. Unfortunately, she was told that her only option was to continue taking the sleeping tablets, despite their unpleasant side effects and limited long-term efficacy. I believed that CBD oil could help my exhausted mother, so I took it upon myself to source some for her. I traveled to Oregon in the US to learn about the industry and secure three full-spectrum CBD oils to send to her. The impact on her sleep and overall well-being was almost immediate – the first night she used it, she had one of the best night’s sleep in a long time. Soon, she was regularly taking a drop of CBD oil under her tongue before bed, and with better rest, she regained her usual energy and enthusiasm. Inspired by my mother’s positive experience, I decided to switch careers and launch Grandiosa Imports, so that other individuals and families could access the profound benefits of CBD oils and medical cannabis.
